In the tube family there are two types of straight tubes that are very common. That is T8 lamp and T5 lamp, these are two kinds of lamp with high popularity rate. One, what is T5 lamp tube?
Little information is available online. T5 means its diameter is 16mm, T means Tube Tube in English, and 5 means 5 inches.
1. The luminous flux of T5 tube, its normal maintenance rate can be up to 10000 hours 85%. Then the relationship between T5 tube power and T5 tube size is as follows:

Two, about T8 lamp tube

Three, T8 tube, T5 tube installation
The first step, the first lampshade to unload, lampshade has rotation, also has the buckle stuck, the rotation only needs to be assured to the correct turn can come down, of the buckle as long as the buckle back can take off the lampshade.
The second step, the rectifier above the plug from the lamp, and then the fixed lamp spring to break, take off the lamp.
The third step, take out the T5 lamp bought in advance, insert the whole with the spring stuck, and then the lampshade can be installed.
Four, T5 tube and T8 tube difference
The T8 is brighter than the T5, and the larger the diameter, the brighter it will be. As the development technology of science and technology is updating, now T5 lamp can replace T8 fluorescent lamp, illuminance, life, stability far exceeded T8 fluorescent lamp. The most concerned is energy saving. The ratio of 28W to 36+ 9W is obvious. Enterprises benefit and the country saves energy consumption. The T5 lamp is the new lamp and the T8 lamp is the old one
The main difference is that
1. In appearance, T5 lamp tube should be small and thin, T8 lamp tube thick and long
2. In terms of energy saving, the intrinsic energy saving of T5 is between 50-40 percent compared with T8
3. In terms of life, T5 is nearly twice as long as T8
4. From the diameter, straight tube fluorescent tube φ16mm (5/8 in), φ26mm (1 in), φ32mm (1/4 in), φ38mm (1 1/2 in)
5. Light effect color rendering, T5 fluorescent lamp color rendering performance is good, because it uses by red, green, blue three kinds of primary color configuration of rare earth three basic color fluorescent powder, so the color rendering index Ra can reach more than 80. And T5 fluorescent lamp light efficiency is high. The luminous efficiency of T5 fluorescent lamp with correlation color temperature of 2700K is about 100LM/W, while that of ordinary T8 fluorescent lamp is about 70LM/W.
